Product UX Designer – Global SharePoint Intranet Platform

Description
One of my most recent projects involved the redesign of a SharePoint-based intranet for a major global player in the energy sector.
The project was particularly complex due to initially incomplete and constantly evolving requirements. From the beginning, it was necessary to take initiative, make assumptions, and quickly adapt to the client’s changing needs. In parallel, I carried out an in-depth UX analysis of key existing sections, with the goal of improving the usability and clarity of internal content.
My work included reviewing the requirements that had been gathered before I joined the team, assessing which ones were still relevant and which needed to be revised, and then moving on to design the user experience. It was crucial to find a balance between customization (e.g., of web parts) and development effort, recommending scalable, cost-efficient solutions that could meet the needs of very different stakeholders, from country managers to internal communications teams.
Constant communication with developers and strong cross-functional collaboration were key in successfully delivering a project that was both challenging and highly rewarding.
